  Short Wood’s gifted and talented artists have been learning about Monet’s Water lilies, taking our schools’s bridge and lilies as inspiration to create their own versions.

• Tennis Taster

  Tennis taster sessions in school have been a big success today. Telford Tennis Centre, New Road, Wrockwardine Wood, TF2 7AB are holding free tennis sessions on Saturday 16th and and Sunday 17th July.

  

• Tennis Stars

  Today, Key Stage 1 and Reception have been tennis stars and because they were all so amazing they have been invited to a Tennis Taster day.

  This will take place at Telford Tennis Centre, New Road, Wrockwardine Wood, Telford, TF27AB.

   

  Dates-Saturday 16th July from 10:00-11:30, 1:30-3:00, Sunday 17th July from 10-11:30.

   

  Its absolutely free and there is no need to book, so you can just turn up on the day to play. All the equipment will be provided and is suitable for children aged between 3 and 10.

  

• Wonderful weaving!

  Pupils from our school celebrated the opening of Oakwood recently. Last year Reception pupils created art work for the hoardings around the building site. This was followed with an Art project with a local artist to create an oak tree weaved by the pupils. This weaving is now on permanent display at Oakwood. Our pupils took centre stage presenting the flowers to the special invited guests.
