I Am A Short Woody!
We have been learning how some people choose to celebrate Christmas. We have learnt that some people decorate a Christmas tree, we have decorated our Christmas trees with hand made decorations that tell the Nativity story.
We have read the story Little Red Riding Hood, we are working towards cooking Granny a soup over a fire to help her to feel better. The wood cutter has left us his fire steels so that we can learn how to make a fire safely with an adults help- here are the sparks that we made with the fire steels.
We have read the story Leaf Man, we looked at the use of natural materials by the artist Andy Goldsworthy, we created our own artwork using found Autumn leaves.
We have read the story, Percy the Park Keeper, the lost acorns. We helped Percy the Park Keeper with some of his gardening jobs, learning about changes over time and observing the changing Autumn season and planting Spring bulbs, we look forward to observing them grow.
Brilliant Brushes! We have been learning how to look after our teeth, we brush our teeth at school each day and know about foods that are healthy choices for our teeth.

We have explored Squirrel School and discovered many different types of seeds. We collected apples which we disected and named their parts and we used a fruit press to make apple juice.
