Year Six on Radio Shropshire

Hesba Stretton

Year Six has been finding out about the Victorian fiction writer Hesba Stretton. They learnt of her during a  history investigation, campaigned to make sure this forgotten Wellington author is celebrated and ensured a new plaque marks her life for current and future generations.

Mrs Lowndes was interviewed by Radio Shropshire where she recounted year six’s efforts to honour the memory of this local writer.
