Year 2

Good morning children. Here is today's learning.

Physical

Choose an activity from the following site.

https://www.nhs.uk/10-minute-shake-up/shake-ups?filter=toy-story

Literacy

Yesterday you thought of 3 wishes. Today I would like you to think about what would happen if 1 of the wishes came true! Who will it impact? How will it change yours and others lives? Will it take you on an adventure? A new place maybe? A different time?

Today I would like you to plan out your story ready to write it tomorrow.

Maths

Can you find an analogue clock or watch in your house? This is one that is usually circle shaped and has an hour hand and a minute hand.

Use this to practice telling the time at 5 minute intervals. Can you make 10 minutes past 3? Can you make 20 minutes to 4? What time does the clock above show?

Once you have practiced this a few times, have a go at playing the game on the link below.

Afternoon

Music time! Have a look around the house for objects that you can tap, blow, bang together to make music!

You may want to have a go at making your own instrument such as a drum.

Challenge

How could you change the volume? How could you change the pitch? Can you play a long note? What about a short note?
