Good morning - halfway through the week already!
Today's tasks:
Reading
Read for half an hour and in your reading diary, make a note of 2 questions you would like to ask one of the characters in the story.
Tables practice
Today practise the division facts for the times table you chose on Monday. Again, try to learn them well enough to have instant recall of answers.
Arithmetic
Yesterday's answers:
Fluency

2. 280
3. 9
4. 296

Today's challenge
Spelling
Copy today's words very carefully - character, mechanic, stomach
Circle the 'ch' sound - where in each word can you find it?
Practise these 3 spellings using a strategy that works for you. Do you split words into coloured segments? Do you speed spell and try to write the word as many times as you can in 60 seconds? Do you look, say, cover, write, check? Do you write the word backwards to concentrate on letter patterns?
Design Technology
Design and build a model tent using materials you can find in and around your home. You will need to build a frame first, from sticks, straws or even tightly rolled paper. How will you fix this together? How will you make it strong? What is the best shape to hold up your tent?
Then you will need to cover the frame with the waterproof material you identified in your science investigation. How will you attach this to your frame?
Evaluate your model when it is finished – is there anything that could be done better another time?
Literacy
If you could go camping anywhere in the world where would it be? A mountain, a cave, the beach, a forest, somewhere snowy? Where would you choose?
Give 3 clear reasons for your choice.
