Happy Wednesday!

Today's tasks:

Reading

Read for half an hour and then design a new, spectacular book jacket for your book.  Don't forget the blurb, to tell people what the book is about, or the key details like author, title, maybe illustrator.

Make sure your book jacket will draw people in and encourage them to read the book.

Today's challenge

Spelling

Write down today's words and then carefully look for the silent letter in each - circle it.

guess, guest, gnome

Practise these 3 spellings using the strategies that work best for you.

Challenge

For many of you, this year was cut short, however you had lots of time to make memories in Year 5 and Year 6.  Think about some of your favourite memories - did you go on exciting trips? Did you have exciting outdoor learning days?  Did you represent the school in any sports competitions? Did you do things in class that made you laugh? Do you have some great memories of your friends or your teachers?

Think of a good way to record these memories.  You could make a comic strip, a poster, a memories mobile or something like the picture below.  Or you might have a great idea of your own.
