Thursday 18th June

Here is your learning for today.

Challenge: write them in sentences that contain a fronted adverbial. EG: Late last night, Suddenly, From behind the curtains, Slowly and quietly,

Write a fact file about your creature.

  • Where does it live?
  • What does it eat?
  • What does it look like? Draw a diagram
  • Is there anything special about it?

Be as creative as possible!

Now you need to charge people to come to your holiday park.

  • How much will charge for people to stay for one night?
  • Will you charge less for children than adults?
  • How much would it cost for a family of two adults and two children to stay for three nights?
  • Can dogs come for a holiday with their owners how much would you charge them?
Now make up some of your own and work out the cost for each family?

E.g. – 1 adult costs £10 per day

How does your shadow change throughout the day?

Find a spot to stand in the sun. Look at your shadow. If you have some chalk ask somebody to draw around your shadow. Go back to the same spot an hour later what has happened to your shadow now? Again if you can get somebody to draw around your shadow.

Look at this beach scene by Seurat can you create a modern day scene like this?

Begin by drawing the scene. It can be any summer holiday image that you can think of.
