Monday 29th June

Good morning, we hope you have had a wonderful weekend!

Today we are having a wonderfully creative day!

Literacy

Re-read the story you created last week. Today we would like you to perform your story to somebody in your household.

We think it would be great if you could create finger puppets for the characters and a backdrop/setting for the main events.

Think about how you will change your voice for each of the characters? Think about if you will need a narrator or not?

Listen to chapter 5 of 'How to train your dragon' listen to how the reader changes her voice for the exciting, dramatic parts.

Cressida reads How to Train Your Dragon: Chapters 5 and 6

Chapter 5 and 6 of How to Train Your Dragon. Follow every chapter of the story on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe01xn13M8q2dsIw0mvW9lg

Handwriting/spellings

Copy these spellings carefully, once you have copied them place each word onto a separate piece of paper, time yourself, see how quickly you can order them alphabetically.

Maths

Create a colour by number dragon picture.

Draw a picture of a dragon and separate it into sections. In each section write a calculation. Create a colour key for the answers.

Challenge: can you use all 4 operations somewhere in your picture?

Here is an example but we would like you place calculations in the sections instead of just numbers.
