The animals present George the giant with a letter and a gold crown as an award for being the kindest giant in town. Use some paper or card to make a crown for yourself or as a gift for someone special. An old cereal box from the recycling will work well. Open the box out and cut through the middle in a zigzag pattern or what ever shape you would like the top of your crown to be. Stick the two pieces together at one side. You can then measure it around your head and cut it to size (leave an overlap to staple, tape or glue) But don’t stick it yet, it is easier to decorate your crown when you can lie it flat. Now you can paint, or colour or stick!

New clothes for George

By the end of the story George has a lovely new crown but the same old gown and sandals. Can you help him get some new clothes. What do you think he would like to wear?

Who is your favourite character from ‘The Smartest Giant in Town’?

Can you draw, paint or make a model of your favourite character?
