Guided Reading

At Short Wood Primary School reading at home is a vital part of our children's education. We are making steps to ensure that all children enjoy reading and it is something that they look forward to.

All children are expected to read at home at least 3 times a week with this being recorded in their reading diaries. If there is evidence of this then the children are rewarded with Class Dojo points.

Your child also has a reading wallet which includes all of the books they need on a weekly basis.

Home Learning Links

Below you will find links and resources to support your child's learning at home. I have tried to split the links into different subject areas to make it as clear and as easy to use as possible.

Short Wood Primary School - Aiming high, growing dreams. School is now closed - we will only be open for pupils of essential workers and vulnerable pupils. Please only bring your child to school if you have NO OTHER option for childcare provision, keep your children at home if possible as this is the best way to prevent the spread of the virus. Thank you.
