Year 5 made a 100 poppy wreath to commemorate the end of WW1.
We visited the Gratitude Café in Wellington, which had an exhibition about all the Wellington soldiers that died in WW1. It was interesting to see which soldiers lived on our streets!
We then visited All Saints Church where we looked at all of the WW1 Wellington soldiers, discussing their ages and gender - some were as young as 16 and there was even one female. Mel in the office also showed us one of her relations names that was on the plaque.
