Celebrating Short Woodies

These are some of our super Short Woodies who have had Golden Leaves this week, we are proud of them all.

It has been a busy week at school.  We have had lots of children having Arthog Adventures - Key Stage 1 pupils have been climbing the Wrekin as part of their home and away topic, Year 4 pupils have been caving and developing their climbing skills on the climbing wall in our sports hall, supporting their topic of over the hills and far away.  Year 6 have been taking part in the STAR project, delivered by the local policing team.  This is a project that supports pupils to think about challenging situations they may face as they grow up and how they can make positive choices.

The teaching staff had some great professional development on Tuesday with Jack form The Arts Centre Telford (TACT) about reading and composing music, this has been followed up by Jack being in school today working with Year 1 - 6.  His talent and enthusiasm is inspiring for staff and children alike.

The school council met for the first time this year, they are a delightful group of Short Woodies who will be great ambassadors for their peers and our school.

Please take time over the weekend to chat to your child about their learning.
